Come
join us on this very popular NYC Noshing Tour. Planned stops are Arthur Ave,
The Little Italy of the Bronx beats its other rivals in the sheer
number of
establishments offering fine Italian-American foods, dining, housewares
&
other goods. The quality & value are tops- confirmed once again by
critics
like Zagat Survey. The variety is truly staggering from nine
restaurants, five
pastry shops, five gourmet delicatessens, four butchers, two pasta
makers,
six bread
stores, pork stores, fish markets & gourmet coffee shops.
We
will be stopping at Zabar’s
Food Emporium featuring cheese, fish,
stuffed olives, breads, coffee and so much more. We planned to stop at
Chelsea
Markets where some of the Food Network Studios are now located.
Other
planned stops are Katz
Deli, The Pickle Guys, Kossar’s Bialys which
is referred to “as the bagels cousin”. A Bialy is about the
same size as an
average bagel, but the Bialy is flatter & lighter than a bagel. A
Bialy has
a depressed center typically filled with tart diced onions or a
garlic/poppy
seed blend.
Also
planned is a stop at the Doughnut Plant one of the
top tourist food destinations
in Manhattan. Delicious!! And finally we will visit Economy Candy.
Stops
are subject to change depending on traffic and
other conditions. We will have leisure time at Rockefeller Center.
